Live-in Caregiver / Companion available- Amsterdam area

Experienced and reliable live-in companion available in the Amsterdam area for approximately one year. In the past, I have provided full-time, 24/7 live-in care for a 90-year-old man with dementia, supporting him continuously with structure, orientation, and reassurance in daily life. In addition, I have worked as an au pair. Calm and attentive by nature, I bring a strong sense of responsibility and a natural ability to create a stable, supportive home environment. Care, to me, goes beyond practical support: I approach the person I care for with genuine warmth, patience, and respect — with the intention of creating not only safety, but also moments of ease, dignity, and quiet enjoyment in everyday life. I can assist with: – Daily companionship and emotional support – Support with routines and light caregiving – Household tasks (cleaning, cooking, organising) – Flexible availability, including evenings and night presence if needed Personally, I value a healthy, stable lifestyle and a respectful, well-structured home environment. I have a small dog who accompanies me. She is calm, affectionate, and very attuned to people. In my previous live-in position, her presence was experienced as a source of comfort and gentle companionship, particularly for the elderly person in my care. A home that is open and friendly towards animals would therefore be important. I am looking for a live-in arrangement (approx. 4–5 hours of daily support) in exchange for accommodation and meals, ideally complemented by a modest allowance. A stable arrangement over a longer period (around one year) would be ideal. I value a warm, respectful atmosphere and a natural, friendly connection in everyday life, while also respecting privacy and personal space.
