Companionship, Conversation & Support for Seniors

Hi! I'm Ayushi, an incoming Master's student at TU Delft living in The Hague. I've always enjoyed spending time with older adults and learning from their experiences. Through my volunteering work with VSO, I regularly visited hospitals, cancer care centers, and community spaces where I spent time with patients, organized activities, played games, and helped create a positive and engaging environment. These experiences taught me the importance of patience, empathy, active listening, and simply being present for someone. One of the things I genuinely enjoy most is talking to older generations and listening to their stories, experiences, and perspectives. I've often found myself drawn to these conversations because there is so much wisdom, humour, and life experience to learn from. Some of the most meaningful conversations I've had have been with grandparents, patients, and seniors I've met through volunteering, and I always come away having learned something new. I would be happy to provide companionship, conversation, accompany someone on walks, help with errands, play games, assist with technology, read together, or simply spend quality time together. Sometimes having a friendly and dependable person around can make all the difference. I am responsible, warm, and genuinely enjoy building connections with people from different generations.
